Sharpe was ruled out Thursday with a return date of 2027-03-01, described as likely sidelined until after the All-Star break. He had been penciled in for a reserve role behind Toumani Camara this season. That opens the door for more shots and touches to flow through the frontcourt.
Over 31 games without Sharpe, Clingan has averaged 39.74 FPG on 27.1 minutes, compared to 31.33 FPG on 27.3 minutes with him on the floor. Thirty-one games is a real sample, not a fluke stretch. The minutes barely change, but the production does, which points to usage rather than playing time as the driver.
Clingan sits at 34.7 FPG on the season, ranked 54th, and is rostered in 77.53% of leagues, so he is already a fairly known commodity, but this news adds to the case if he is available in your league.
For props, this is a scoring and rebounding bump, both categories that move with more touches. Points and rebounds are the markets worth watching once lines post.
